The legacy of computer programmer and Internet activist Aaron Swartz, who committed suicide at age 26 in 2013 while facing criminal charges for downloading journal articles, lives online and off. The subject of an upcoming documentary, The Internet’s Own Boy, Mr. Swartz will be remembered tonight at the opening reception of art show “Unbound: A Tribute to Aaron Swartz,” held appropriately at his former workplace, technology company ThoughtWorks.

ThoughtWorks, 99 Madison Avenue, 15th floor, 6 p.m., free, must RSVP at eventbrite.com, eliana@artforchange.org
