Its first branch was mangia-nt, so let's see what happens.

Good news for downtown New Yorkers who believe there really is no such thing as too much cheese and olive oil.

Eataly, the Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich helmed Italian mega-store, will open its second New York branch at the base of 4 World Trade Center in the summer of 2015, the New York Post reports.

The WTC edition will join its 50,000 square foot cousin at 200 Fifth Ave., which premiered in 2010 to block-stretching lines. It’s not yet sure if Eataly NYC Version 2.0 will match the square-footage of its predecessor, but it will have some fancy neighbors in Apple, Hugo Boss and Mont Blanc, among others.

Eataly, which has locations in Chicago, Japan, Istanbul and, oh, Italy, offers patrons a wide range of gourmet Italian pastas, pastries, oils, vinegars and the like. Those thinking Eataly takes these things lightly should start planning their trip to the freaking theme park dedicated to food that is scheduled to open in Bologna a few months after the World Trade Center spot.

So yeah, Eataly New York No. Deux will have a lot to live up to. Buona fortuna.
