L.A. MOCA's Philippe Vergne Awarded French Legion of Honor

Philippe Vergne, the recently named director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, has been named Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur for his service to the arts. MOCA’s board of trustees sent out the news Monday afternoon. Mr. Vergne joined MOCA in March, after serving for five years as the director of the Dia Art Foundation. He was previously the deputy director and chief curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
