Fighting words

Not exactly V for Vendetta, but something close.

Sunday night around 7 p.m. V. Stiviano, former girlfriend of ex-Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was attacked by two men upon leaving a restaurant near Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District. Her attorney stated that the two men punched her on the right side of her face multiple times, calling her the N-word and other racial slurs.

The New York Post reported that Stiviano exited the restaurant with a group of friends who were arguing among themselves before the strangers started throwing punches.

After escaping the tussle, Stiviano saw a doctor who concluded that she had not suffered any serious injuries and will recover soon. Stiviano didn’t file a police report, but her attorney noted that the incident has her “very scared (about her well-being).”

The assault comes in the midst of a much larger scandal revolving around Stiviano and her former beau. Recently, a video and audio tape surfaced in which Stiviano and Sterling both make a number of racially derogatory remarks.
