As if New Yorkers needed another reason to avoid Times Square.

In honor of the summer solstice, mass yoga classes will be taking place in the least calming place in the city. Starting Saturday morning, the 12th annual yoga extravaganza will offer hour-long yoga classes of all types.

Led by renowned local instructors, including the president of the Times Square Alliance, Tim Tompkins, the classes range from power yoga and bikram to “Sun Sequence for Bent on Learning.”

Saturday’s sessions are at capacity but Sunday, at the New York Marriott Marquis, there are still a few spots open in yoga and meditation classes. The day’s MINDBODY Sol Conference costs $20.

The event drew 16,000 participants last year, according to DNA info.

We’ll be saying namaste from the other side of town.
