The Colorado Democratic Party kicked muddy snow on Gov. Chris Christie’s appearance in the Rocky Mountain State today, criticizing Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez for welcoming Christie.
“Go to Colordao and see if you want to live there,” Christie said on a radio show to a question about legalized marijuana. “To me it’s just not the quality of life we want to have here in the State of New Jersey.”
Democrats in Colorado seized on that comment in their YouTube rumble strip thrown in front of Christie’s arrival, where he will campaign with Beauprez (pictured) in his capacity as chairman of the Republican Governors’ Association.
It’s a close race in Colorado, where Beauprez seeks to dethrone incumbent Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper.
Denver Dems dismissed Christie’s “corrupt leadership” as governor of the Garden State, citing the George Washington Bridge scandal.
“Tell ‘Both Ways Bob’ we don’t need him to build a bridge over Christie’s troubled water,” the YouTube ad says.
