Sweeney in North Brunswick on Monday

Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) on Monday will visit the Brian Injury Alliance of New Jersey (BIANJ), a statewide nonprofit that works to improve the quality of life after brain injury.

Founded in 1981 by a small group of parents whose children had sustained brain injury, the group received notice last fall of the elimination of state funding.  In response, the Legislature, through the state budget, provided $140,000 through the New Jersey Brain Injury Research Fund to the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey, according to Sweeney’s office.

This visit will take place Monday July 28, at 12:30 p.m. at 825 Georges Road in North Brunswick.
