For some, getting weed is now as easy as ordering Chinese.
A new app called Eaze allows medical marijuana users to place orders for weed delivery from their smartphones.
“Part of the inspiration for the company was to get patients their medicine more easily and professionally,” Eaze CEO Keith McCarty told Mashable.
After user registers using either their Medical Marijuana ID numbers (MMID) or doctors’ recommendations, they can select a quantity and choose from eight strains. When the order is placed, the app displays a countdown clock showing the minutes remaining until delivery, and soon after, a suited man will arrive at the door, weed in hand.
The free service delivers every day from 7 a.m. to midnight, but orders can be placed at any time. While Eaze is currently only available in San Francisco, it’s set to spread throughout the Bay Area and southern California soon.
Although Eaze’s purpose is very clear, the company has been very careful to position themselves as a legal service for medical marijuana users rather than a delivery service.
But they’re not fooling anyone.
