The Unknown Craftsmen is an inspirational book that guided my early years as a woodworker. It defined the Mingei Movement which is thought of as a Japanese version of the Arts and Crafts Movement. The author, Yanagi Soetsu, extends an appreciation of beauty and craft to simple objects used in daily life.
