On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III will undergo surgery.
Alicia D’Alessandro, Director of Communications for the County Executive, released the following statement:
“For the past two months, County Executive Jim Tedesco has been receiving treatment for severe back pain. Despite experiencing significant pain on a daily basis, he has maintained a full schedule. Over the last two weeks, this pain has worsened and he has not experienced the relief he and his physicians had hoped for. In order to expedite the healing process, the County Executive will undergo back surgery tomorrow.
“For the next few weeks, the County Executive will continue to fully oversee the day-to-day operations of Bergen County, while maintaining a limited public schedule. As anyone who knows him can attest, the County Executive hates to sit on the sidelines and will eagerly resume a full public schedule as soon as his physicians allow him to do so.”
