Last night’s blood moon eclipse, during which the moon appeared to emit a reddish glow, wasn’t just a rare event—it was an Instagrammable one as well.
Thousands of users posted their photos of the eclipse using the hashtags #BloodMoon, #BloodMoon2015 and #BloodMoonEclipse. Despite the fact that cloud coverage and a broken NASA stream ruined the event for many, plenty of photographers, both iPhone and professional, were able to capture some amazing shots.
From all over the world, here are some of the most amazing photos of the blood moon eclipse, as captured by Instagrammers:
Repost from @natgeo, #bloodmoon and #lunareclipse what an honor to witness the whole event. This hasn't happened in over 30 years… you may feel a powerful shifting in your life, dreams may be more vivid, moments of inner knowing more profound. Keep your inner peace and know that we are all beings of love. 💕
Here is the best image I captured of the super blood moon last night. The conditions weren't ideal here for a number of reasons, so this image isn't what I would have hoped, but here it is as seen from my home on Sonoma Mountain, California, at 7:38 pm, September 27th, 2015. Photo taken in digital format. ______________________________________ PHOTO COMMENT: This image was not perfect as I would have liked; I was operating with both a new camera (first images taken on it; and I was learning as I went, in the dark) and the giant telephoto lens, which I have only used a few times. The colors are very good, though. ______________________________________ Another classic ©Ed Cooper Photo 🌄. I specialize in nature images that are unedited. All rights reserved.
