As a beauty fanatic whose medicine cabinets is constantly overflowing with products, I tend to reach for items that have dual uses. A face mask that doubles as a moisturizer? Sign me up! A balm that can be used everywhere from my eyebrows to my cuticles? I actually have five of those.

So when I came across R+Co’s Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste I knew this was a product that could easily be added to my daily repertoire. In my honest opinion, if there’s anything worse than greasy hair, it’s greasy and limp hair. This product combats both of those issues, all without depositing that annoying white residue that tends to come with spray dry shampoos.

Inside the little R+Co container is a paste that turns into powder once you rub it into your palms. Allowing the user to precisely apply the dry shampoo where necessary, rather than all over the scalp, Badlands is also a spot treatment.

The formula contains volcanic ash, which cleanses the scalp, in addition to coconut, sunflower seed and argan oils which nourish the hair. It also includes zeolite, a Japanese powder that absorbs excess oil. And the scent is floral and fresh, ideal for masking locks that are a bit dirty.

As a bonus, this dry shampoo can be used on damp hair. With the help of a blow drier and some strategic styling, it will give you that tousled second-day hair, sans any of the dirty details.
