The Network Journal, a business news website and magazine for black professionals, has honored three New Jersey political operatives on their 19th annual ‘Forty Under 40’ list.

The list, which was released this week, features Newark Chief Policy Director Tai Cooper, Gibbons P.C. counsel Jason Redd and Executive Director of the NJ Democratic State Committee Chris James.

The award recognizes outstanding young African-Americans who are “Reaching for Higher Goals” in their careers while remaining committed to their community’s development, according to the announcement from The Network Journal.

This year’s class will be honored at a June 23 dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Times Square.
