The New York Times has a very distinctive style for headlines: start with a preposition and invert the basic structure that most sane headline writers would use.
Like many Times quirks, media people find it an object of constant amusement. In fact, media people love it so much that there is a dedicated Twitter feed devoted to spotting them. The more egregious examples of the Times headline style spawns periodic gleeful mentions and blog posts.

Atlantic Media President M. Scott Havens is leaving for Time, Inc., where he will be the senior vice president of the digital, Atlantic Media chairman and CEO David Bradley announced today in an email, followed by Time Inc.’s own announcement.
Mr. Havens is going over to Time Inc. as the publisher prepares to spin off from Time Warner and relaunch its websites. Read More

Alec Baldwin caused quite a splash with a New York mag cover story, which went up last night. The actor said he is done with public life and explained why his MSNBC show failed, why New York is different now, why he lashed out at paparazzi, why he isn’t really a homophobe and basically anything else he has thought about over the past year.
