Here it is, the record-setting Tribeca penthouse. Can it turn a 50% investment?

The Prudential Douglas Elliman listing says it was designed to "provide maxium exposure," which makes sense since this $45 million Tribeca penthouse is quite literally a giant glass box on top of a building.

The 7,493 square foot property features a 4,500 square foot terrace that wraps around the entire penthouse, 18 foot ceilings, city views in all directions, three working fireplaces, bluestone counters in the eat-in kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Oh, right, and floor-to-ceiling windows. But did we have to mention that?

It's as simple as opening up one wall to make two of these Tribeca lofts one. The combination leaves the buyer with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, 16 foot ceilings, and a custom kitchen.

The Sotheby's listing says combined lofts, with cast iron columns, handcrafted steel doors and a bedroom that can be converted into a media room or home office, will run you $4.7 million. There's no word on how much if they come alone.

What do you call a condo with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, 12 foot high ceilings, giant windows with skyline views, custom hand-lacquered doors, home office and library?

Perfection. Triple mint perfection to be exact.

Or at least that's the word Sotheby's is throwing around to describe this $6.8 million, 2,758 square foot Tribeca condo in The Hubert. While we might take issue with "perfection" the condo is gorgeous and has all the little touches you'd expect when paying more than $6 million. Like the bookcases are backed with mother of pearl. Need we say more?
