The Glazier Group, developed by Manhattan restaurateurs Peter and Penny Glazier, owns and manages many different event venues throughout New York City. Restaurants and spaces include Bridgewaters, Strip House and Twenty Four Fifth, all of which are perfect locations to host any special event, weddings in particular. Chris Siversen, Executive Chef of Bridgewaters, Twenty Four Fifth and the Westminster Hotel, located in New Jersey, takes pride in providing unique party options. Rather then the traditional sit down dinner, a modified type of buffet with single plated mini-entrees available at different stations around the room is popular right now. The Glazier Group’s array of fine chefs will work hand in hand with you to customize your menu and create the perfect dining experience for your wedding day or special occasion.

Is there any place more romantic than Paris? Unfortunately, we can no longer hop on the Concorde for a weekend jaunt to France. Thankfully, Sel et Poivre has brought a sliver of Paris to New York City. This cozy French bistro, tucked away on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is the perfect place for dinner “à deux,” a small gathering, a place to relax after a tough week or an intimate wedding reception. Favorite selections include: the classic French onion soup; escargots with butter and garlic sauce and country duck pate à l’orange. For your main dish, sample the steak frites; duck magret with apples in a honey rosemary glaze and skate fish au beurre noir with lemon, capers, rice and leeks. Save room for dessert! The homemade selections, such as crème brûlée and chocolate mousse, are magnifique. A bonus: Saturday and Sunday brunch includes a mimosa or Bloody Mary for just $12.95 (853 Lexington Avenue, 212-517-5780; www.seletpoivrenyc.com).
