New York Times Cases West Village After Julianne Moore’s Jewelry Theft, Finds it Heist-able

Did you know recent Emmy-winner Julianne Moore owns $127,000 worth of Cartier jewelry? Or at least she did, before her baubles were stolen earlier this summer from her five-story West 11th Street brownstone. Mr. Abakporo, 52, a Nigerian citizen and resident of Queens and Ms. Pierce, 43, of Brooklyn have been charged with wire fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud conspiracy and bank fraud conspiracy. Read More

Forecast For Meteorologist Heidi Jones Lying About Sexual Assault: Not So Good

Back in November, New York’s local WABC-TV weatherwoman Heidi Jones told police that she had been attacked and almost raped by a Hispanic man in Central Park, who then later followed her home and tried to assault her again outside her apartment. The event had taken place in September, Jones claimed, but she had waited to tell the police until the man had shown up again at her building to harass her. Read More
