Journalist Anthony Shadid Dies in Syria

Anthony Shadid, a Pulitzer Prize-winning  journalist who reported on the Middle East for the New York Times and Washington Post, passed away on Thursday in Syria. Whitney Houston Seen “Disoriented” and Possibly Bleeding the Night Before Her Death

In a report published Friday, The Sun described a disheveled and “disoriented” Whitney Houston out on the town in Los Angeles. According to the News Corp. owned tabloid Ms. Houston was seen exiting a nightclub with her daughter Bobbi Kristina and “appeared to have blood dripping down her leg and a long scratch on her wrist.” Celebrity gossip site The Insider published a similar report, describing the superstar as “dazed” and exhibiting an “aggressive attitude” as she left the venue, where she’d attended an R&B Grammy party. Pastor Zachery ‘Fresh Prince’ Tims Found Dead in W Times Square [Update]

Let’s not jump to conclusions.

The NYPD says no foul play is suspected in the death of a prominent pastor, Zachery Tims, of Orlando’s New Destiny Christian Center, in a room at the W Hotel in Times Square on Friday night. [Update: The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Dr. Tims was found with a "glassine envelope containing a white powdery substance."]

Dr. Tims, who was only 42 years old and is sometimes known as the “Fresh Prince of Preachers” for his marked resemblance to Will Smith, founded the ministry with just six members in 1996, growing it to a megachurch of some 8,000 today. Read More
