Afternoon Bulletin: ‘Place Hacking’ Is the New Trend and More

A new hobby called “place hacking” is apparently growing in popularity among young New Yorkers. “Urban Explorers” (teenagers?) have been trespassing into abandoned subway stations and bypassing security to make it to the very top of the city’s skyscrapers–no matter what the consequences are. Last summer, a New Jersey teen faced charges after getting to the 104th floor of the new World Trade Center building.
