The theater is already at work on an Upper West Side location--watch out, AMC Lincoln Square!--to open in 2014, and its new Downtown Brooklyn digs would seem to place it in competition with the ritzy food-and-drink-serving Nitehawk Cinema, in Williamsburg. Alamo Drafthouse, known for its creative repertory programming, could make the gastrocinema market in Brooklyn the most exciting game in town (and good thing, too, for the restaurants are moribund, if you believe this newspaper!). But it won't open until 2015 or so. Breathe easy, Nitehawk.
