The relationship between the U.S. and Israel was a hot topic throughout the presidential campaign—and now, with cooler heads prevailing, those who seek to celebrate the long-standing alliance between the two nations should attend the America-Israel Friendship League’s Partners for Democracy Awards Dinner. It’s chaired by Daily News macher Mortimer B. Zuckerman and honors folks including Israeli philanthropist and executive Sami Sagol and Princeton history professor emeritus Bernard Lewis, with the goal of mobilizing cross-national friendship. We’ve been assured that the dinner will observe all attendees’ kosher dietary needs.

The Plaza Hotel, 768 Fifth Avenue, reception at 6:30pm, awards and dinner at 7:30pm, tickets and information can be obtained by emailing dinner@aifl.org.
