Former Asia Society Presidents Sell Ardsley Co-op

Robert Oxnam and Vishakha Desai both know something about moving on. Both helmed the prestigious Asia Society for long spans of time and both, ultimately, decided to leave the job for other posts. In fact, Ms. Desai stepped down just this September to join the Guggenheim Foundation as a Senior Advisor for Global Policy and Programs. Apparently, the couple felt the same way about the Ardsley and their three-bedroom, two-bath apartment in the Central Park West co-op.

Mr. Oxnam, an Asia scholar and Ms. Vishakha, an art historian, have sold the co-op for $2.19 million, according to city records. The apartment, on the 12th floor of 320 Central Park West, sounds liked just the place for two prominent intellectuals: from the listing photos it looks like the couple converted two of the bedrooms into offices and the maid’s room into an office/library.
