ASME Nominations Are Here!

The American Society of Magazine Editors’ finalists for the National Magazine Awards just popped up in our inbox. No surprises here: New York and The New Yorker lead the pack with six nominations apiece, GQ trailed with five and Wired with four. It may excite you that the establishment finally recognized first time nominees The Fader and Vice. (Alternately, you may be furious those glorified marketing companies infiltrated it.) John Jeremiah Sullivan earned nominations for GQ (his David Foster Wallace piece) and The New York Times magazine (his stoned-at-Disneyland piece). But no need to choose sides!
