This just goes to show that even the best music in the world can turn ugly if sung too many times by your drunken boyfriend at his birthday party.

A 23-year-old Colorado woman named Samantha Malson was arrested this weekend after she choked out her boyfriend for singing "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore over and over, even when she asked "25 times" for him to stop. Unfortunately, it was her lover's 26th birthday that evening and the victim was wasted (as birthday boys tend to get), leading to an unfortunate altercation in which Ms. Malson literally started choking the life out of her boyfriend rather than listen to lines like "Savin' my money and I'm hella happy that's a bargain, bitch" and "I'ma take your grandpa's style, I'ma take your grandpa's style."

While Ms. Malson was busy demonstrating the shoving/choking gestures that she performed on her boyfriend because "He just annoyed me," the police ran her I.D. and found there was a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court for a previous assault charge. As she was being led away, Ms. Malson told the police it wasn't fair to arrest her for "self-defense." Unfortunately, assaulting one's sense of good taste is still legal in Colorado.

Even with the best intentions, any community is bound to have some trouble. And though oftentimes that trouble for those cohabiting on Occupy Wall Street seems to becoming from outside forces -- the police, the banks, the mayor -- occasionally it comes from within.

Tonye Iketubosin, 26 years old and from Crown Heights, has been linked to at least two incidents of sexual assault in the recently sprung-up tent city in Zuccotti Park...one case of which involves a minor.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Iketubosin was arrested Tuesday and was being held by police in relation to two reports, one of which was made by an 18-year-old victim whom Mr. Iketubosin let sleep in his tent while he went to work OWS' kitchens. She later awoke to him taking off her pants and raping her. The second victim, a 17-year-old, said that the alleged perpetrator helped her set up her tent on Oct. 24., and then climbed in and waited for her to return. She was able to push him off of her after he groped her.

The incidents of alleged sexual assault have been growing ever since the tents have been allowed to be put up. We were told on Friday by members of OWS's security team that at least three cases have been brought to the NYPD already.

So does this mean it's time to tear down the tents? If so, how will Occupy Wall Street make it through the winter?

Forecast For Meteorologist Heidi Jones Lying About Sexual Assault: Not So Good

Back in November, New York's local WABC-TV weatherwoman Heidi Jones told police that she had been attacked and almost raped by a Hispanic man in Central Park, who then later followed her home and tried to assault her again outside her apartment. The event had taken place in September, Jones claimed, but she had waited to tell the police until the man had shown up again at her building to harass her.

The idea of being stalked by some rapist "What's the frequency Kenneth" psycho is terrifying enough on its own, but story gets really bizarre when the police did their own investigation and found out that Ms. Jones -- who sometimes filled in as the meteorologist on Good Morning America -- had completely fabricated the story of her attacker. She was suspended without pay in December of 2010, and faced trial earlier this week.

"I made it up for attention. I have so much stress at work, with my personal life and with my family," said Ms. Jones during her trial Wednesday. She pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors of falsely reporting a crime, receiving five years of probation and 350 hours of community service. Those hours represent approximately how long our tax dollars went towards the police investigating the crime.

Despite her abhorent behavior, Ms. Jones seems upbeat. On Monday, the day she was arrested, she wrote on her Facebok page:

"Ready or not . . . it's going to be bitterly cold tomorrow and Wednesday, with highs sub freezing and a wind chill to make your toes shake! Be careful!"

Jones no longer works at ABC, though her lawyer has refused to discuss the terms of the parting. We're guessing it has to do with this whole "lying about getting sexually attacked" thing.
