The Office Book Series May Be the Next Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey famously began its life, before publication and millions of copies sold, as online "fan-fiction" about the book and movie series Twilight, placing its characters in new--and racy!--situations.

And it's not alone.

Simon & Schuster has signed a two-book deal with the authors of online fan-fiction series The Office, wherein Twilight heroine Bella Swan becomes an intern subject to the rule of a domineering boss. The books will be repackaged as Beautiful Bastard and Beautiful Stranger and go on sale in the first half of next year.

The lead characters, as in Fifty Shades, do not share the names of Twilight's: they're Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan.
