Tomorrow, the memorial for Whitney Houston will take place in Newark, NJ at the New Hope Baptist Church. Speculation for the funeral's guest-live began almost immediately after the news of Ms. Houston's death: Would ex-husband Bobby Brown be invited? (Yes he would.)

What about Clive Davis, the music exec and mentor to Ms. Houston, who continued to throw his pre-Grammy gala downstairs in the Beverley Hilton the same night the star passed away several floors above? (Also a yes, and he'll be speaking.) Kevin Costner, Stevie Wonder, Godmother Aretha Franklin, Aunt Dionne Warwick, Alicia Keys, BeBe and CeCe Winans, and Donnie McClurkin are also expected to perform in the ceremony. Marvin Winan will deliver the eulogy. The star-studded guest list includes Chaka Khan, Brandy, Ray J, and the Rev. Jesse Jackson.

With a lineup like that, the funeral for Whitney Houston is shaping up to be bigger than the Grammy's themselves. Unlike the Grammy's however, fans without a television set will be able to watch the proceedings from their computer, as the funeral will be live streamed, starting at 9 a.m. on NBC's website.

While the phrase "live stream funeral" makes us want to throw up just a little bit, at least this way the family of Ms. Houston don't have to worry that much about paparazzi or gawkers trying to elbow their way in: the send-off for the Grammy winner will be available for all to see, provided they have enough bandwidth.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown, was taken to the hospital Sunday morning. Ms. Brown was still at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where her mother passed away Saturday afternoon. An ambulance rushed the teen to Cedars-Sinai around 10:30 a.m., out of concern for her anxiety.

After Whitney Houston was discovered unresponsive in the bathroom of her hotel suite Saturday her daughter scuffled with police. Authorities on-scene would not allow her in the room and according to TMZ Ms. Brown "screamed and cursed" while demanding to see Houston before leaving the scene.

A press release sent to the media on Sunday reported Ms. Brown was "awake and alert" after arriving at the hospital.

Whitney Houston's life and music will be a focus of tonight's Grammy Awards. Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will perform a musical tribute.

A video of Whitney Houston singing "Jesus Loves Me" at a pre-Grammy party on February 9 was posted to Youtube on Sunday. It is perhaps her final public performance.

The Associated Press reports via its Twitter account that singer Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48. The A.P. cites Ms. Houston's publicist Kristen Foster as their source for the news:

Whitney Houston's meteoric rise to fame was powered by her beauty, charisma and powerful, soulful voice, but it was balanced by struggles with addiction and a turbulent marriage to singer Bobby Brown, which were tabloid and reality TV fodder for much of the last 2 decades. She attempted a comeback 3 years ago but in spite of great album sales, her live performances faltered. From the AP:

Houston staged what seemed to be a successful comeback with the 2009 album "I Look To You." The album debuted on the top of the charts, and would eventually go platinum.

Things soon fell apart. A concert to promote the album on "Good Morning America" went awry as Houston's voice sounded ragged and off-key. She blamed an interview with Winfrey for straining her voice.

The cause of Ms. Houston's death is currently unknown.

Whitney Houston's music dominated the mid-to-late 1980s. "The Greatest Love of All," her cover of a George Benson song written in the late 1970s, dominated music charts in 1986. Ms. Houston received an American Music Award for the video and was nominated for a Grammy.

Daily Transom: Happy birthday. Did you rage last night?
DJ Cassidy: Thank you! I actually haven’t slept yet, so you’ll have to forgive me if I sound a little out of it.

DT: How was it?
DJC: Surreal in every sense of the word. I still can’t believe that I threw the party at the New York Public Library. It doesn’t get more beautiful, more glamorous, more sophisticated and more over-the-top than that. …  I DJ a lot of parties every year, and what I’ve learned is that often the fun gets lost in the hype. The bigger the place, the more celebrities and the more press there is, the less fun the party becomes because the other elements begin to take over and overshadow the fun.

DT: And this didn’t happen last night?
DJC: No. And I know it’s kind of cliché to say, and everyone says it, but you know, night life in this city is—not like any one remembers it, but everyone says, “Oh it’s not like it used to be.” But I feel like this party is.

DT: What did Bobby Brown perform?
DJC: His four biggest hits, which are Don’t Be Cruel, On Our Own, Every Little Step, and My Prerogative. Every year I have surprise legendary old-school performances. ... This party, in a sense, it’s kind of an excuse to live my dream and get my heroes to perform at a party and give that to the people.

DT: I saw a picture of the cake—can you tell me about that?

DJC: The cake actually never got brought out, things were so chaotic and there were so many great moments going on throughout the party that my dad never actually brought out the cake.The cake was actually a very cool thing, I’m glad you asked. When I DJ'd the inauguration, CNN showed Obama’s first dance at the ball that I DJ'd. I DJ'd the Mid-Atlantic Ball and I programmed the playlists for the nine other balls, and they showed live from the Mid-Atlantic Ball, them dancing. And it said at the bottom “Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have their first dance at the Mid-Atlantic Ball,” so my dad was watching this on CNN the night it happened and he took a picture with his phone of the TV screen, and I guess he gave the picture to a friend of his who then took a picture of me from the inauguration from something else, and blended the two pictures, and that was the cake. This was an amazing idea—it was also obviously the biggest night of my life doing that and the highlight of my year.

DT: I saw a picture of Funkmaster Flex in the DJ booth—how did you feel about other people DJing for you? Did you have the urge to get behind the booth and DJ yourself?

DJC:  No—I never had the urge! It’s the one night I don’t have to, and I can be the dancer and not the DJ. Funkmaster Flex, who I’ve looked up to since I was like 10 years old, he’s the reason I became a DJ, he came and surprised me. He did a Michael Jackson set. It was great—he’s really the king of this.

DT: So getting older isn’t so bad?
DJC: No, this is the bright side, I guess.

DT: Are you already thinking of ways to top this year’s party next year?
DJC: I gotta tell you, every year my mom says to me, just stop. She’s like, “It’s too stressful!” I plan this party virtually myself. It’s
a lot of work and I’m a control freak.
