Former Head of New York’s Austrian Cultural Forum Named Director of MAK Vienna

Christoph Thun-Hohenstein, the former head of New York’s Austrian Cultural Forum, has been named director of MAK Vienna, the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts and Contemporary Art, one of the country’s most important art museums.

Mr. Thun-Hohenstein, 51, led the ACF from 1999 to 2007, during the time that its iconic and extremely narrow skyscraper (it’s only 25 feet wide in some places), designed by architect Raimund Abraham, was being built on West 52nd Street. Read More
