The Observer has been having some fun this week talking about Foursquare's increasing presence in the American mainstream.

First there was the appearence on Fox Business News, where founder Dennis Crowley talked about the deals Foursquare is doing with The Gap and RadioShack.

Crowley, who recently modeled for this hunky Gap campaign, compared Foursquare to an old-fashioned loyalty card.

Then yesterday Foursquare broke five million users (ok, not really, but they are soooo close).

Today comes the news that Foursquare will be the subject of a new TV show created by Endemol USA, the folks who brought us "Deal or No Deal" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

Given this information, The Observer imagines the show will be some kind of amazing, city wide scavenger hunt, with good looking 20 somethings vying to check in at hot locations and earn crazy badges. First one to become Mayor wins a trendy Soho loft and Howie Mandel as their personal butler.
