By now, you've probably heard that Blue Ivy Carter's entrance into this world cost her parents $1.3 million in VIP privacy at the Upper East Side's Lenox Hill Hospital. The hospital admitted that Beyonce was the first person to use the gigantic suite that was recently built to host extra-special mommies, but denied that the suite was built directly for her. They've also claimed, despite rumors, that the entire hospital's maternity wing did not shut down to make room for the famous duo.

Even Mayor Bloomberg defended the hospital's lavish attention at the possible expense of other patients, because Blue Ivy Carter, not yet a week old, is already a symbol of Ayn Rand-ian proportions.

Mayor Bloomberg announced on Tuesday, after allegations were brought against the private hospital of preferential star treatment:

"Let's step back a little bit here," he said, "If [the hospital] got paid a lot of money and it let them provide services to other people who don't have insurance or can't afford it, I'm not so sure it's a bad thing," he said. "Full-paying patients are very valuable to hospitals in this day and age."

Now TMZ has the photos of the maternity room--which includes four flat-screen TVs, kitchenette, "state of the art electronics," a plush sofa, glass coffee table, and separate bed for Jay-Z to get his rest before using his newborn infant to record on his latest hit track, "Glory (feat. B.I.C)".

While the exact square footage of the suite has yet to be revealed, Lenox Hospital did reveal that it knocked down 6-8 other rooms to make this "executive suite," ensuring that it was probably more spacious than most apartments in Midtown.
