Capital New York has hired New York Post’s powerhouse political reporter Sally Goldenberg to join its rapidly expanding team.
Capital’s co-editor and co-founder, Josh Benson, confirmed the move this morning, telling The Observer that Ms. Goldenberg will be covering city politics for the online news site.

This morning, Yahoo News announced that Beth Fouhy, an AP political reporter, will join Yahoo! News as senior politics and national coverage editor.
“From our first meeting, it was clear Beth would be a perfect fit at Yahoo News,” said Hillary Frey, editor in chief of Yahoo News. “Not only does she bring a wealth of experience, she has great ideas about how to continue to build up the Yahoo News brand and get more great stories in front of our readers. I am thrilled she’ll be part of our New York staff.”
Acclaimed investigative reporter Josh Bernstein is going to Denver to become the Senior Investigative Reporter at KDVR Fox 31, a Fox affiliate.
“They have a huge commitment to building up the investigative team,” said Mr. Bernstein said of his new station. “We will be very involved with several investigations related to the election season,” he said, noting Colorado is a swing state.
Andrew Cuomo’s office just sent out word that they have tapped ace political operative Rodney Capel to be his New York City director of intergovernmental affairs.
