Soon, you might be able to get your Morning Joe on the weekend, too. “Persons close to” MSNBC’s morning news show have reportedly been saying that Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are looking to expand Morning Joe into the network’s Sunday morning slot. It may finally be Public Advocate Bill de Blasio’s time in the spotlight.
Mr. de Blasio, who has recently received favorable write-ups in Salon and the New York Times, took his pitch to MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning to plug his progressive credentials and tout yesterday’s surge in the polls while–of course–being asked questions about former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s latest sexting scandal.
