Depeche Mode founder Vince Clarke, a.k.a. Vincent Martin and his wife Tracy Hurley Martin will be enjoying a "new life" in Park Slope after purchasing the townhouse of J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons, according to Fucked in Park Slope.

Clarke, the British synthpop musician and songwriter who also formed musical groups Erasure and Yazoo, was reportedly involved in a bidding war for the Park Slope home, which spent less than a month on the market before entering into contract.

The Martins paid $4 million for the house, which is 7 percent more than Ms. Lyons asked for when she listed the home last November.

But then, the house was almost too beautiful for words after Ms. Lyons finished giving it a make over. And we expect that the couple, who once lived in rural Maine, will enjoy the irrigated, south-facing garden, anchored by a mature dogwood tree. They will reportedly be relocating from their condo in Dumbo.
