I’m sure I missed a lot over the past year while I’ve been off in the wilds of New Jersey, and I can say for a certainty that I have a lot of catching up to do. So I need your help this week. Please.
Yet some things haven’t changed much at all since my time at the Observer. Everyone not directly involved with any of this year’s mayoral candidates is telling me that it’s going to be a dull race. (They said the same thing in 2001, until the race suddenly got very, very exciting.) Despite stubborn backing from the mayor, another West Side Stadium plan is now in ruins. And, as Hillary Clinton shapes up for her next electoral challenge, a new set of published “revelations” that will have absolutely no impact on her progress is making some author rich.
