In partial defense of Gotbaum, though: Public schedules are typically sent to the press only, and contain the line, “not for publication or broadcast.” And if a public official isn’t generating much interest from the press, sending one out would be a waste of time and public money.

Now, what the lack of press interest in Gotbaum’s office indicates is another question.
