Republicans do not, it seems, tire of the tactic of guilt-by-association-with-Hillary.
That’s the strategy that seems in play in Tennessee, where Republican senatorial candidate Ed Bryant is dropping the H-bomb in a four-page fund raising letter. He dubs a likely Democratic challenger, U.S. Rep. Harold Ford, Jr., “Tennessee’s Hillary Clinton.”
“Oddly,” one paper notes, “there is no mention of former Congressman Van Hillary [it’s really Hileary] – who Bryant likely trails in name recognition – or former Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker who Bryant certainly trails in fund raising.”
