Bob Franks

Five years after nearly winning a United States Senate seat largely by attacking Jon Corzine for spending nearly $70 million of his own money, former Congressman Robert Franks has been elected to the Board of Trustees of George Washington University’s Campaign Finance Institute. CFI is a “non-partisan, non-profit institute that conducts objective research and education, empanels task forces and makes recommendations for policy change in the field of campaign finance.” Other trustees include former Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Vic Fazio, former Federal Election Commission Chairman Trevor Potter, ’92 Perot for President campaign manager Ross Clayton Mulford, former White House Counsel C. Boyden Gray, and 1978 GOP U.S. Senate candidate Jeffrey Bell.
