One more and it’s officially a trend. A few weeks after architectural historian Francis Morrone’s piece on Robert Moses in the New York Sun, the New York Press follows suit. While editor Harry Siegel sees Moses as a “nasty son-of-a-bitch,” the guy certainly got things done.
Now four years since 9/11—and after bearing witness to several development debacles at Ground Zero—it’s possible that more New Yorkers will overlook the power broker’s flaws and instead envision someone who forcefully cut through city bureaucracy. We’ll see.
