Four Years Later

There was plenty of 9/11 coverage this weekend, and thoughts naturally turned to remembering the barbaric attacks and those who perished. However, there was also much criticism aimed at the Pataki and Bloomberg administrations about rebuilding (or lack there of) downtown.

In the New York Post, both Nicole Gelinas and Steve Cuozzo sound off about the development of Ground Zero. Pete Hamill offers his wise words in the Daily News.

In recent months, editorial writers have voiced concern about memorial and museum plans for Ground Zero (while sometimes offering their own narrow curatorial vision). But this weekend brought out family members protesting the International Freedom Center.

And not surprisingly, many New Yorkers want more action from the government, according to a recent poll. A new Moses, perhaps?
