That was Bloomberg’s quiet resignation from four “all-white” private clubs, along with his word that he’d quit only after a losing battle — spanning as much as two decades of membership — to integrate them.

Never mind that evidence of his internal battling never quite turned up.

Really odd was that some of the clubs — notably Harmonie — had been founded by Jews excluded by private clubs.

No word yet on whether Mike has resigned from his all-white synagogue.
