Hmmm…. The Governor is in favor of the $2.9 billion transportation act that’s going to appear on the ballot in November and stumps for it last week before the New York Building Congress. Then today he appears before one of the few groups against the ballot question, the Citizens Budget Commission, (PDF) and doesn’t mention it at all? Not one little bit? Not a polite jab or a short entreaty? No, it appears from the text of his speech (we weren’t there personally, though we checked with his press secretary just to make sure), he doesn’t. Instead, he rails against Proposal 1, which has to do with a balanced budget, and which the Citizens Budget Commission also opposes.
