So, What’s Really New?

From the Weren’t They Already Doing That Department: The Port Authority board of commissioners voted today to authorize “planning and preliminary design work” for the 200,000 square feet of retail that’s going to go into the Calatrava transit hub at the World Trade Center. Design work expected finished by next spring, retail to open 2010. Cut your coupons now. Another 350,000 square feet of retail to go elsewhere on the site (towers 2, 3 and 4 and concourses connecting them).
