Democrats may not be alone in suggesting their party’s regional machines are churning out the vote today. This from a Republican: “Turnout numbers SEEM to be much higher in Democratic areas than Republican. This should not be the case at this point in the day. GOP vote is an early vote, Dem votes are later in the day. Republicans are starting to worry about a blowout.” Remember, a political machine is never stronger than when the general public is disengaged.
