Jennifer Provda, an analyst for EDS, a human-resources outsourcing company, used to say that she’d never have a baby. “I bought a Mini Cooper just to prove that point,” said Ms. Provda, 29. (Hey, why not a Prius?) But her firstborn, a constantly smiling boy with reddish-brown hair who enjoys going naked and already sleeps through the night, is “the best baby ever,” cooed the new mom. “When they were handing out babies, they handed out the right one.” She said his middle name had nothing to do with the car. The father is her husband of three years, Dore Provda, 28, a wealth manager who enjoys reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish ad nauseam to his son.
