You get the sense that Mike Bloomberg doesn’t really mind cancelling his tradition-mandated events with the press corps. Earlier this year, he let a little thing like the Pope’s death scuttle his appearance at the Inner Circle Dinner.
And now, apparently, the threatened transit strike has killed the holiday cheer. This from City Hall:
“Mayor Bloomberg’s Annual Holiday Reception for the New York City press corps that was scheduled for tonight at 7 PM has been postponed.”
