Prison term coming to an end for ex-Hudson Freeholder

Former Hudson County Freeholder Nidia Davila-Colon is scheduled to be released from a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut on May 16. She was convicted in 2003 on charges that she passed cash bribes from her then-boyfriend, Dr. Oscar Sandoval, to Hudson County Executive Robert Janiszewski. Sandoval received a $2.3 million contract to perform psychiatric servcies for Hudson County. William Braker, who served on the Board of Freeholders with Davila-Colon, will not complete his prison term in Allenwood, Pennsylvania until January 31, 2008. Janiszewski, sentenced last March to 41 months in prison, is due to be released from the Ashland (Kentucky) federal prison on April 25, 2008.
