Give Bill Weld some credit. He was welcomed to the race with a Howie Carr column in the Post, which all but called him an alcoholic.
It doesn’t seem to be an attack he’s terribly concerned about. This afternoon, according to his office, “Candidate for Governor Bill Weld Raises a Pint for St. Patrick’s Day” at McKeown’s on the Upper East Side.
This will ensure, at least, that he remains the reddest candidate in the race.
