I wound up a bit mystified in this week’s story over what had become of Watergate icon Carl Bernstein’s promised book on Hillary Clinton.
I didn’t manage to reach Bernstein before the issue went to press, and the Knopf spokesman would only say that the manuscript hadn’t been delivered.
Bernstein called yesterday to clear it up:
“The book will be published by Knopf next year,” he said.
