The Sunday Saturday Times carried a story, inspired by the Backroom Deal Breaker blog, about the publication of city workers’ salaries.

One reader noted, however, that the richest pool of city hires was ommitted from that piece: the Economic Development Corporation, which is technically an independent, non-profit corporation.

Fortunately, such entities have to make public their tax returns and other salary information (.pdf), which show 36 employees making more than $100,000 a year.

EDC President Andy Alper, though, isn’t one of them. He’s one of those dollar-a-year men.
