It’s probably inevitable that companies facing Eliot Spitzer hire his friends. And former State Attorney General Robert Abrams, a political ally whom Eliot goes out of his way to praise, is no exception.
Today, he turns up in an H&R Block press release denying Spitzer’s claim that the company committed fraud. He’s also in on the Attorney General’s investigation into the World Jewish Congress.
As Abrams’ bio at Strook & Strook & Lavan says: “Mr. Abrams has been of particular value to corporations that have been the subject of an investigation by a state attorney general or by multi-state investigations by numerous state attorneys general.”
