The story of the day comes from the Star-Ledger, which reported that Governor Jon Corzine loaned a lobbyist and former campaign staffer $5,000 for bail money, after she was arrested on charges that she stalked Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, the Democratic State Chairman, and broke into his car. Karen Golding, a lobbyist for Prudential Financial and a scheduler on Corzine’s 2000 U.S. Senate campaign, has been charged with charged with burglary and stalking.
